normally calm and soft-spoken in English - was shouting at a reporter
from Al-Jazeera who had challenged him, asking how Israel could
continue to claim it was right, when the UN report still said it was
wrong.
"Excuse me, you want an answer? I know as good as you know," Peres
snapped. "How do we explain that we are 1,000 Israelis killed by
Hamas! One thousand, two hundred Israelis, civilians, by Hamas, by
their missiles! Why should they have been killed? Why should they
fire? God... please, explain to me? You feel very strong, explain to
me! Why did they fire? What for? Hamas! Oh, yeah, okay, you don't

Im not very fond of Peres, but there are a few rare moments where I
think he gets it.

Blackmailing Israel
Before moving on to whats occurred this past week, I am extremely
disturbed at our Administration. You should be too - it affects you as
well. Obama has basically implied that Israel's existence in the face
of a nuke will hinge on its peace with the PA. Israel is adamant that
the Iranian issue should be dealt with before focusing on the PA. This
is a problem. Iran is a major supporter of PA terrorism, and more
importantly, the Arab world recognizes the Iranian threat as well, and
are probably banking on Obama stopping Iran. This coupled with the
fact that Obama's peace terms are being dictated by Jordan and Co. who
are unfortunately also dictating their terms to an appeasing president
is discerning. Israel is left out of the equation again, and all her
concessions for peace in the past are forgotten - Israel, give up more
and only THEN there will be peace.

The significance of the following will probably not be appreciated by
us, we are too far removed. But I can tell you that if this were to
have happened in the not so distant past, a brawl would have broken
out. I have no idea how this was tolerated!

Mauthausen Concentration Camp, yelling "Heil Hitler!". History in the
making...

Also in Austria, a Hotel Owner refuses to rent out his rooms to Jews.
Bad experience.

Australia - 3 Months Jail for Holocaust Denier. I dont know about you,
but I'm always pulled between freedom of speech and freedom of hate.
Always a fine line, but then you look at what this hate speech
produces and you realize the danger.

London - Diplomat Charged for Race Crime Against Jews.

Ashdod, Israel - Gary Robinovitch, the Taxi driver from Ashdod was
found brutally murdered in Gan Yavne, police have identified this as
terrorist act. Unfortunately, when terrorists attack, or so called
freedom fighters, the attack is always brutal, I would rather not go
into specifics of how most bodies are found.
Acco, Israel - Three Arabs guilty of Yeshiva arson.

Brussels - Jewish leaders boycotted a meeting of EU officials and
religious leaders because of the inclusion of anti Semitic Muslim
groups at the conference. Also, a Government Watchdog group says
anti-Semitism is skyrocketing in Belgium. The Centre for Equal
Opportunities and Opposition to Racism last week said that the number
of anti-Semitic incidents in the first four months of 2009 has equaled
the number of such incidents recorded in the whole of 2008.

Berlin - Former Cop Fined for Decapitating Hitler Wax Figure...Now
lets see, how would a wax figure of Baruch Goldstein or Meir Kahane
fare in Israel?
